S. Korea, Japan agree to operate Gimpo-Haneda route every day from July 25

From July 25, the Gimpo-Haneda route will be operated every day.
The land ministry said on the 19th that it will increase the number of flights between Gimpo and Haneda from 8 times a week to 28 times a week.
The Gimpo-Haneda route, which was suspended in March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, resumed on June 29 for the first time in 2 years and 3 months.
As President Yoon Suk-yeol stressed the need to resume the Gimpo-Haneda route for Korea-Japan bilateral relations, it has been resumed after his inauguration.
The Gimpo-Haneda route is currently operated by Korean Air , Asiana Airlines , Japan Airlines, and All Nippon Airways twice a week each, a total of eight times a week.
As the land ministry Japanese transport ministry has agreed to operate 28 times a week from the 25th, the airlines will operate one round trip every day.
The Korean Air’s flight to Haneda will depart from Gimpo Airport at 9 a.m. and arrive at Haneda Airport at 11:10 a.m. depart from Haneda Airport at 12:25 p.m. and arrive at Gimpo Airport at 2:45 p.m. every day from the 25th.
Asiana Airlines will operate flight which departs from Gimpo Airport at 8:40 a.m. and arrives at Haneda Airport at 10:45 a.m., and departs from Haneda Airport at 12:05 p.m. and return to Gimpo Airport at 2:25 p.m.
The ministry expects the expansion of the number of flights to boost human exchanges between the two countries.
The ministry will continue to have talks with Japan’s transport to expand international flights between Korea and Japan, and further increase the number of flights between Gimpo and Haneda.
